Chief Executive Officer
Bruce is the Founder, President & CEO of Emilcott Associates, Inc. He has led the company for over 30 years, having started Emilcott to provide regulatory training after serving as a regulator for the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Over the past three decades, he has led the company to expand into consulting services for industrial hygiene, safety, loss control and environmental mitigation. He is a Certified Industrial Hygienist with the American Board of Industrial Hygiene,the owner of five patents related to real-time environmental monitoring and detection, and a global speaker and advisor to industry and governmental organizations. Bruce graduated from Lafayette College and is the proud father of three children and two grandchildren.
Julie Spencer Fuoti
Chief Operating Officer
Julie is Emilcott’s Chief Operating Officer. She comes to Emilcott after a 30-year career leading teams in global marketing and management, having held a series of senior corporate leadership positions in consumer packaged goods, media, and education as well as two venture-funded start-ups in the healthcare and travel space. She has run her own consulting firm for several years with well-known clients including Nike, Conde Nast, Conagra, and Ketchum among others. She holds a B.A. from Kalamazoo College in economics, and a M.B.A. from the University of Michigan. Julie is responsible for overseeing the Business Office at Emilcott and for leading growth through innovation at the company. Her most recent accomplishment is graduating twin sons from college!
Senior Vice President
Danaila is Emilcott’s Senior Vice President of Operations and holds a M.S. in Environmental Engineering. She has over 16 years of experience in the recognition, evaluation and control of workplace hazards and toxic substances. Danaila is responsible for the day-to-day management of all environmental, health and safety projects at Emilcott. Most recently, she has led the company’s Southeast expansion, opening an office in Charlotte, NC with responsibility for operations outside of the NYC-tri-state area. Danaila hails from Bulgaria and is a new mom to Ayden!
Deborah Barsotti, Ph.D., is a Diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology (DABT), who has spent the past three decades promoting the use of sound science when conducting human health and ecological risk assessment for public health and environmental challenges. In her role with Emilcott Associates, Dr. Barsotti is responsible for technical consultations and project management of applied technology and risk assessment. Her background includes applying risk assessment tools to public health and environmental challenges to provide safe and cost-effective strategies. She also regularly provides expertise on a range of issues including pathology and toxicology to regulatory bodies at state and federal agencies.
With over eighteen years’ experience in environmental, health and safety consulting, Dave runs Emilcott’s Indoor Environmental Quality practice. He was also one of the original leaders who helped to develop our proprietary Greenlight system for real time air monitoring on construction sites. His experience includes performing hazardous materials surveys (e.g. asbestos, lead); perimeter air monitoring system development and implementation; remedial investigations; performing soil and water investigations; and survey design. He has worked with the NJSCC, Metro North, and the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority performing life safety improvement surveys, sampling and onsite testing, and subcontractor coordination and oversight. Prior to his career at Emilcott, Dave was the principal investigator and project scientist for a series of long term asbestos and lead projects for NJ/NY transportation agencies and was responsible for health and safety oversight of project personnel. He is a graduate of Penn State University and is now most often found outside of Emilcott coaching little league, flea marketing or fishing!
Matt is Emilcott’s Operational Director, running Northeast operations and overseeing staffing, resourcing, fleet operations and technology deployments. He also leads our Business Development effort, passionate about educating industry and governmental authorities about the necessity and benefit of applying real-time monitoring solutions to air quality. Matt has led the charge to develop quality control efforts, customer service and outreach, and implement process improvements leading to efficiencies in purchasing and servicing clients’ business. He is also Emilcott’s official grill master and Grand Pooba of the infamous Friday beer-of-the-week club.
Vice President - EHS Services
Laurie is Emilcott’s Vice President with responsibilities for the Industrial Hygiene and Safety practice. She has over 30 years of experience leading and training teams of industrial hygienists and safety practitioners. She develops health and safety programs for industrial clients, consulting engineers and contractors and frequently works closely with engineering firms and pharmaceutical/biotech operations to assess their EHS compliance, prioritize compliance gap, and then develop programs and implementation plans for achieving each client’s goals. Laurie graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a degree in Microbiology/Chemistry. Laurie is a certified diver and is committed to helping ocean ecosystems.
Vice President - Construction and Environmental
Dian is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, a Certified Dangerous Goods Professional, a Certified Professional Environmental Auditor, and holds a Ph.D. in Safety Engineering. Dian has 30 years’ experience in the field of health and safety. Dian’s responsibilities include the management of environmental, health and safety projects and consulting. In this capacity, Dian oversees health and safety for construction and hazardous waste remediation projects for pipeline contractors, transportation and utilities firms, environmental contractors and engineering firms. She has developed Site Specific Health and Safety Plans, Job Hazard Analyses, Management of Change, Corporate Health and Safety Programs, and Standard Operating Procedures. Ms. Cucchisi has conducted third party compliance assessments of active project sites for utility, construction management, and engineering firms.
Chief People Officer
Dora Medini serves as Emilcott’s Chief People Officer and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a specialization in Organizational Development from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ. She is also an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) both on the national and local level, The Morris County Chamber of Commerce-HR Committee and Society for Industrial & Organizational Psychology. Dora’s role at Emilcott is to provide consultation and delivery of HR solutions that ensure Emilcott’s people strategy and programs meet the needs of the organization. Dora, her husband and daughter live in Roxbury, NJ. During her free time, Dora enjoys traveling to her native Colombia, watching her daughter play volleyball, baking and decorating.
David Lasky is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of New Jersey. He has over 10 years of experience in the finance and accounting field. David’s responsibilities include oversight of the financial operations of the company including financial statements and regulatory compliance. David previously worked in the field of public accounting. David has a B.A. from the University of Maryland and an MBA from Montclair State University.
