Who Should Attend?

OSHA – Occupational Safety and Health Administration (establishes and enforces regulations regarding worker protection)

Hazardous Waste Operation Requirements: (29 CFR 1910.120 and 29 CFR 1926.65)
40/24 hour training is required initially with an annual 8-hour refresher.

Required for workers who are:
1. Involved in clean-up operations required by a governmental body
2. Performing corrective actions involving clean-up operations covered by the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
3. Performing voluntary clean-up at uncontrolled hazardous waste sites
4. Working at a Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facility (TSDF)

What Will You Learn?

Attendees will gain an understanding of the potential hazards faced when working on a contaminated site along with ways to safely perform their tasks on these sites.
