Emilcott is currently in search of an Director of EHS to join our team.

THE ROLE

The Director of EHS will combine technical knowledge, client management and financial skills, and strong interpersonal skills in order to successfully grow and mentor a team of Project Managers.  This is a high profile role within the organization and requires a high level of professionalism as well as the appropriate educational background and technical expertise.

  • Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare effective technical proposals, and take an active leadership role in developing new business with new and existing clients.
  • Oversee the delivery of multiple technical projects simultaneously to a variety of clients
  • Manage client communications and project administration including deliverable quality assurance/quality control, reviews, project budgets, and schedule maintenance.
  • Mentor and coach project team members and technical support staff in proper planning and execution of projects.

Manage and direct the technical and business development efforts of a team of 5+ Project Managers and their direct reports

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is a self-directed, results-oriented individual with a high level of enthusiasm, passion for the work and the following responsibilities/qualifications:

  • BS required in Engineering, Science or EHS studies
  • 10+ years of proven ability to grow an EHS consulting practice
  • Proven track record of strong project management, and performance in EHS consulting
  • Experience as the primary point of client contact for a portfolio of clients
  • Staff direct report experience including all facets of team building, performance evaluations, and staff mentoring/training
  • Sub-contractor coordination including bid spec development, contracting and insurance/safety review, project award and field supervision
  • Proficient in EPA, NJ DEP and other relevant regulations pertaining to Air, Water and Waste
  • Possess working knowledge of DOT requirements, environmental regulatory requirements and operational support for environmental programs including annual reporting, permitting and hazardous waste.
  • Must be flexible to various work schedules and situations related to emergency response scenarios
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills
  • Ideally possess a senior level designation or degree such as CIH, CSP, CHMM, Masters or PhD.

Environmental Health and Safety Field Technician

Emilcott is currently in search of an Environmental Health & Safety Field Technician to join our team of professional consultants.

THE ROLE

Environmental Health & Safety Field Technician is responsible for collecting air quality samples for air quality monitoring programs, collecting samples, capturing data, and performing basic electronic troubleshooting. These skills combined with specific knowledge of the air quality monitoring regulations, methods and procedures to produce and report results from the air quality monitoring program.

  • Calibration, operation and maintenance of monitoring instrument and support equipment, including documented instrument checks, tests and maintenance.
  • Proper use of personal protection equipment (PPE) when required by a specific task, job safety analysis and/or facility-specific policy.
  • Monitoring instrument operating and calibration principles, instrument internal component locations and function, testing and fault diagnostic procedures.
  • If project requires, manual sample collection, proper sample handling, documentation, and chain of custody procedures.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

The ideal candidate is a self-directed, results-oriented individual with a high level of enthusiasm, passion for the work and the following qualifications:

  • Minimum high school graduate (AAS or higher degree in physical sciences or technology preferred).
  • Prior experience working with air monitoring instrumentation, electronics and/or instrumentation preferred.
  • Able to reliably and competently perform all tasks independently (unsupervised).
  • Possess general mechanical and math skills.
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills
  • Basic proficiency using personal computers running Windows OS, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook applications.
  • Have reliable personal vehicle for travel to the monitoring station(s).
  • Able-bodied: Walk to monitoring stations from nearby vehicle parking, work within monitoring shelter and outdoors, use common hand tools, use stairs, lift and carry a 40-pound load.

THE ROLE:

The Administrative Assistant would provide efficient and effective administrative support to our Business Development and Finance Divisions.

  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including AR/AP, collections and payroll
  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Vendor liaison, ensuring that questions concerning payments, outstanding invoices, billing details, etc are properly addressed and communicated
  • Project/Client Portal setup and maintenance

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal skills, with the ability to convey information to internal clients in a clear, focused and concise manner.
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks and/or General Accounting Principles
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work cohesively with people from different functional areas and management levels
  • Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail with excellent organization skills.
  • Experience handling confidential information and correspondence.
  • Be a resourceful critical thinker and a problem solver.
  • Positive attitude, willing to jump in, roll up their sleeves and get to work.
